It can be be recalled that in recent months, the separation of Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres has been a hot topic, this issue has become even hotter because the actor is now linked to John Lloyd Cruz’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Adarna. But Derek denied that there was a third party in his separation from Andrea.
In an interview with veteran showbiz news anchor Cristy Fermin on Tuesday on One News PH, Derek admitted that he regrets that he broke up with Andrea Torres in a phone call.
Accoding to Derek, “Yung sa amin ni Andrea… may problema na nangyari na, I guess, nagbigay sa akin ng sign na, I think, this relationship, our views on this, sa problemang ‘yon, yung values namin, ng isa’t isa, (are) not the same. Hindi ko na aatakihin ‘yon, hindi ko siya babaguhin. Hindi niya ako babaguhin.”
“I think that this is the end of this relationship because we cannot see eye-to-eye on this matter. I think, it’s just best na we just… Kumalas na tayo ngayon rather than lalaki pa, and then two, three years down the road, maghihiwalay tayo.”
“Babalikan natin ito kasi nga iba ang views natin sa problemang ‘yan, and it’s a waste of time and it’s a waste of effort, and masakit, di ba?” He added.
The actor also admitted that he was very sorry that these things happened on the phone call.
According to Derek,“So, ako yung nakipagkalas… Ako ang nag-bring up and she agreed. Hindi (personal), sa phone po namin. ‘Yun lang yung… Siguro kung may regret ako is that it came up over the phone. So, actually dapat magkikita kami noon. Ang nangyari, it came up over the phone. Pero with no disrespect. Wala naman kaming…Hindi namin dinisrespect ang isa’t isa. She agreed to it also.”
Even the families of both sides were allegedly affected by the said incident, so Derek also allegedly asked for an apology from Andrea’s parents. Even Derek’s mother allegedly texted Andrea because of what happened.
“We were all invested. Every Sunday, nagdi-dinner po ang both families dito sa bahay. And so, there’s no disrespect between me and Andrea and our families,” ayon kay Derek.
Currently Andrea remains single. Derek Ramsay is happy with his new relationship with Ellen Adarna.

Derek Ramsay once again receives back lash from netizens after he revealed that he was the one who initiate the break up with ex girlfriend Andrea Torres.
But what angered the netizens more is what the Kapuso hunk admitted.
According to him, after feeling shaky and unsecured with their relationship, he broke up with Andrea over the phone.
“Yung sa amin ni Andrea, it was actually may problema na nangyari na, I guess, nagbigay sa akin ng sign na, I think, this relationship we have, our views on this… yung problemang ‘yon, yung values namin, ng isa’t isa, is not the same.
“Hindi mali yung values niya, hindi mali yung values ko. Pero ganito ako pinalaki, ganoon siya pinalaki.
“Hindi ko na aatakihin ‘yon, hindi ko siya babaguhin. Hindi niya ako babaguhin.
“So I told her, ‘I think that this is the end of this relationship because we cannot see eye to eye on this matter.
“‘So I think it’s just best na kumalas na tayo ngayon rather than lalaki pa, and then two, three years down the road, maghihiwalay tayo.

Added the actor, “So, ako yung nakipagkalas.

Derek and Andrea announced their break up November last year.
By March 2021, Derek revealed to be in a one month relationship with actress Ellen Adarna.
By March 30, the couple surprised their fans with an engagement announcement.
