Ruby Rodriguez, inamin na ang tunay na dahilan ng pag-alis niya sa Eat Bulaga
Months after announcing her departure from Eat Bulaga, actress and TV host Ruby Rodriguez finally reveals the reason as to why she decided to leave the longest running noon time show she has been a long part of.
According to Ruby, it was not an easy choice, but she had to in order to attend her son, Don AJ’s special needs.
“I’ve been going back and forth and all my siblings are here.
“With regards to have I relocated, have I migrated, matagal na po kaming nag-migrate, hindi lang ako nagpe-permanent stay.

“Now, with this situation, the pandemic and all, that’s not the real cause,”
As of the moment, Ruby works as Philippine Consulate in the U.S.
Don, who has a “very rare auto-immune disease” as of Ruby, is currently receiving medications.
“Matagal na po kasi ito na magbe-break dapat ako because as everybody knows, my son AJ—hindi ko ikinahihiya and I’m very proud of it—my son is a special student…
“Meron pa po siya na very rare na autoimmune disease, it’s called Henoch–Schönlein purpura na ang tinitira nun is the kidney. It’s very rare.

“Usually daw kapag uma-attack ‘yon, one time lang. Kaya lang yung kanya, chronic, kaya rare. Kasi hindi dapat paulit-ulit.
“Yung sa kanya, talagang dire-diretso kaya na-damage yung kidneys niya.
“Na-kidney biopsy na siya kasi he already has Stage 2 nephritis.”
Continued the actress, “We had to bring him here since he’s a citizen and get medical treatment.
“Sabi ng mga doktor sa Pilipinas, ‘Sige, ipa-check niyo na kasi they have better medications, they’re more advance in some ways.’

“We have a doctor here, and what he’s trying to avoid with the medication of my son, we’re avoiding he gets dialysis at a very young age or, worst case scenario, kidney transplant because he’s too young.
“Since kailangan niyang mag-medical treatment dito, alangan namang wala ang ina?Puwedeng wala ang ama pero ang ina, hindi. Family first, he’s my son.
“Bakit ba tayo nagtatrabaho? Bakit pa ako magtatrabaho, para sa mga anak ko, lalo na para kay AJ.”

Phenomenal star Maine Mendoza will be hosting her first-ever show on TV5 with Paolo Ballesteros.

One of the most popular and in-demand stars in the Philippine showbiz industry is Maine Mendoza. She is under the GMA-7 network where she hooked the showbiz spotlight.

Maine first caught the attention of the public with her dubsmash videos on YouTube.

She went viral on social media and became part of the longtime running noontime show in GMA, “Eat Bulaga.”

She played as “Yaya Dub” in a segment and rose to stardom with Kapuso actor Alden Richards. They are collectively called “AlDub” by their fans and supporters.

Aside from her hosting job in Eat Bulaga, Maine Mendoza also stars in the Kapuso series Daddy’s Girl.

But there are some rumors spreading that Maine will leave the Kapuso to transfer to TV 5 Network.

As she personally confirmed that she will be hosting a new shoe in the network.

She has been tapped as one of the hosts of TV5’s upcoming reality talent show “POPinoy.”

Mendoza will be joining her “Eat Bulaga!” co-host and The King of Transformation Paolo Ballesteros.

The reality show’s objective is to look for the next boy group that will become a Pinoy Pop sensation.

Maja Salvador, Kayla Rivera, DJ Loonyo, and Jay-R will serve as the judges of the reality show.

The show is the network’s collaboration with local mobile services brands in promoting Filipino pride.

The actress is not an exclusive talent of the Kapuso network thus she can accept offers from other networks without affecting her ties with GMA-7 and her shows.

This means that doing a TV5 show does not have any conflict with Maine’s obligations to her Kapuso shows.
