Isa ring registered nurse si P2Lt. Lei Vanette Alungui sapagkat matapos ang 15 buwan na training maliban sa isa siyang nurse ay klaro na ngayon ay isa ng ganap na sertipikadong piloto sa elite branch ng Philippine Army.

Hindi nag-alinlangan si Alungui na ipakilala ang sarili na siya ay igorota mula sa tribu ng Alpai sa Sagada na siyang ipinagmalaki niya. Siya ay grumaduate sa Air Force Academy of the Philippines sa Fernando Air Base sa Lipa City, Batangas.

Nagkaroon ang mga nagtapos sa nasabing Academy na mayroong titulong 2nd Lieutenant (2Lt) sa Pilippine Air Force. Mula sa Cordillera Administrative Region na isa ng ganap na Piloto ng PAF si PLt. Alungui.

On her Instagram account, she pens a long message about her journey in the military.

“I made it! I just want to say I’m very proud of myself for finishing such a great feat. Training with the military was really tough specially with a pandemic looming. I did things I didn’t know I would (and could). Getting here hasn’t been traversed overnight; although what I went through is nothing compared to my colleagues—I feel great admiration for them.” she wrote.
Added her, “I also found myself humbled and it made me gain a renewed self respect. That being said, I hope that I’ll never have to use what I learned for violence instead be an inspiration to many to have a sense of comradeship so we can all live in peace.”

On a separate post, she showed a photo of the back of her foot full of bruises and wound because of her combat shoes.

grabe mo kong sinaktan! Pero ikaw pa din ang pipiliin ko sa kahit na ano pa mang sapatos jan!! Dahil tinuruan mo kong maging matatag, to have humility, loyalty, to have the sense of valor, and to value the importance of Camaraderie.”

But being a strong girl that she is, Arci said that she will never give up and continue living her dreams despite of being constantly injured.
“Kaya ikaw pa din paborito ko forever!! Marami pa tayong pag dadaanan!”
