If ever, this will also be JLC’s major comeback in showbiz after going on hiatus in 2017 to focus more on his family.
“Yun ang naka-line up sa akin during the pandemic, as in,” Garcia stated.
“Yun ang mini-meeting namin lagi,” she revealed during the bloggers’ conference of her charity project, Pakpak ng Pangarap.
But because of the situation, things are getting a little bit more shaky for their team.
Until medyo tumatagal po kami, kasi siyempre, hindi namin matantiya yung ano, e, yung pandemya.
“’Tapos may creative process pa po iyan. Inabutan na ng hindi available si Lloydie,” pagtukoy sa aktor.
“So, may mga prior commitments na siya. So, na-put on hold.
“Binigyan ako ng bago. Ganoon din, laging may problema.”
But she was still hopeful that JLC’s comeback film will push through someday.
“Excited na din naman po ako. Na-miss ko na si John Lloyd Cruz,” she said.
Added her, “Sabi ko nga sa kanya nung nagkita kami bago magpandemya…
“Nagkita pa kami sa UP, kumain pa kami nila Carmi,”
Direk Cathy is talking about Carmi Raymundo, Star Cinema producer and screenwriter.
She then admitted that it was actually her choice not to accept movie offers during the pandemic.
“Itong nakaraan meron po ako uli [offer]. Sabi ko, baka puwedeng next year na lang kung hindi [matatapos ang pandemic].
“Huwag na nating ipilit kung hindi talaga akma. Kasi ako po, nagsasabi sa Star Cinema…
“I am very open to them, that I said, I’m very honest na, ‘It will really be very hard for me to direct ng may social distancing.’
“Kasi highly physical po akong mag-direct. I hold them; I talk to them; I touch them…
“Sabi ko, ‘Paano ko ito mo-motivate, di ba, nang malayo?’
“I talk to my cameramen. Ako, gusto ko, sama-sama ang staff ko, kumakain kami…
“’Tapos one-seat apart. Hindi ko kayang i-figure out sa utak ko po talaga.
“I know there are ways, because some did it.
“And I congratulate them. Sobrang saludo ako sa kanila for being able to do that.
“But me, I told Inang, ‘I don’t know how I would do it with the same passion and intensity kung ang lalayo nila sa akin.’”
