Since primeval times people have looked at masses of birds moving as one and wondered how they do it.

No wonder observers have been left groping for an explanation.

Watching starling murmurations as the birds swoop, dive, and wheel through the sky is one of the great pleasures of a dusky winter’s evening.

But that’s not the case on what happened in Burauen, Leyte on Friday.

Netizen John Michael Casuco Tila-on said he recorded the video at 5:19 PM in Poblacion District II, Burauen, Leyte.

“Pagtingin ko ma-orange ‘yung paligid. Di lang ‘yung orange na light color kundi parang red orange talaga. Pagkalabas ko grabe ‘yung ibon ang dami, sobrang dami tas parang nagkakagulo,” he told in an interview.

He added that it was his first time to witness such.

“May ganyan talagang ibon dito pero di sila ganyan karami kung lumabas. Parang ngayon lang sya nagkaganyan, sinabayan pa ng kulay ng langit,” he said.

The video was recorded ahead of the typh00n Rolly in the Philippines.

According to some reports, it will make his landfall in Aurora Quezon province.

It will be expected on Sunday evening or Monday morning as per reports.

The said video then elicits comments from netizens.

Here are some of their reactions:

“Grabe 😭 Stay safe po”

“They are very sensitive hence they knew that somethings gonna happen”

“Minsan mas mlakas ang pkiramdam ng mga hayop kysa sa tao”

Watch the video clip:

It wasn’t immediately known if the weather disturbance caused the behavior of the birds.

Keep safe everyone!
