“Nung dahil din po sa experience ko po doon sa aking COVID journey, ‘yun po ‘yung na-realize ko, at saka siya (Benj) po ‘yung nagsabi na, ‘Tara, babe. Magpakasal na tayo, kahit civil lang.’ Kaya baka po this October po namin itutuloy.”
The engaged couple originally planned to wed in January 2021 but due to everything that has transpired in their lives during the quarantine period, they decided to do it sooner.
Benj also shared his gratefulness by having Lovely by his side all the time.
“Siya yung naging balancing factor ng pagiging seryoso ko. Parang simula nang makilala ko siya I’ve been in the happiest ever sa buhay ko.

“So, knowing that I’m just really thankful and hindi ko siya kayang mawala sa’kin.”
On his pocket interview during his contract signing with Viva Artists Agency, Benj admitted that he got scared on popping the question to Lovely because he thought she might refuse to marry him.
“I was afraid she wasn’t going to say yes, because it was taking her so long to reply. And the whole time I was like, ‘Please say something, please say something!’”
Added him, “We understand each other, especially when it comes to our plans for the future. We clicked, so we decided to stay together and work on our relationship,”
