A veteran writer and host believes actor Coco Martin has the right to run next year in the election.
In an article, Lolit Solis compared Coco Martin to some actors who tried to enter politics and succeeded like Senator Lito Lapid who was a former action star.
“Kung gusto ni Coco Martin na tumakbo sa election sa kahit ano pang posisyon, karapatan niya Salve. Iyon sinasabi na pinipilit siya ni Lito Lapid, kung tutoo , bakit hindi niya subukan. Si Lito Lapid ang puwede niyang gawin malaking example para magkaruon siya ng lakas ng loob. Mula sa pagiging stuntman, extra, action star, ngayon isa ng Senador,”
“Kung nagawa ni Lito Lapid, bakit hindi magagawa ni Coco Martin ? Kung anuman ang dahilan ng mga tao na iboto si Lito Lapid iyon din ang puwede maging reason para manalo si Coco Martin,” dagdag niya pa.
Lolit further explained that the party-lists endorsed by Coco Martin and her show Ang Probinsiyano won, so she believes that the actor has a high chance of being in the election.
“Sa tagal ng Probinsiyano sa ere, magkaruon nga ng 2 Party List na parehong nanalo sa election, iyon mismo pang si Coco Martin ang hindi mananalo. Sureball na sa dami ng mga nanuod ng Probinsiyano, sa naging tatak nito sa utak ng manunuod , tiyak na matatandaan nila ang pangalan Coco Martin isulat sa balota,”
“In fairness, kahit sa mga kasamahan niyang artista mabango ang pangalan ni Coco Martin. Marami siyang naging kaibigan kaya siguro marami din ang nagbibigay lakas loob sa kanya. So kung gusto niya tumakbo, go go Coco Martin. Karapatan mo iyon,”
Coco Martin is one of the most popular actors in the Philippines today due to his show Ang Probinsiyano which has been on the air for several years.
Coco has not yet given a statement on whether he will actually try to enter politics.

It has been years since Coco and Julia are rumored to be a real life couple. However, the two remained silent about this issue for many years now.
To recall, it all started when they worked together in top rating teleserye of ABS-CBN Walang Hanggan. According to the reports, Coco and Julia developed real feelings during the set.
Moreover, there was also a rumor that Julia actually got pregnant with Coco explaining her sudden hiatus in showbiz. It can be remembered that the actress went abroad and eventually came back in 2019.
Julia was spotted in a grocery market in San Juan, Manila by her fans who luckily got a photo with her. In an article, it stated that the actress allegedly gave birth in a hospital somewhere in Manila.
But the two kept mum about this and disregarding any issues about them.
This time, one netizen spotted them together inside a subdivision. They were wearing same outfits which seems to be for a walk or jogging.
It was only a short clip showing the rumored couple from the distance. In the background, two people can be heard talking.
“Matangkad pala si Julia.”
“Nag jogging sila?” one asked which another woman answered, “Oo, naglakad.”
It is not that clear as the woman who was taking the video was a bit far from where Julia and Coco were walking.
