Yam Concepcion announced that she is engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend Miguel CuUnjieng.
Through Instagram last night, June 22, the Kapamilya actress admitted that on December 31, 2018, she was engaged to her U.S.-based boyfriend Miguel.
Yam wrote in the caption, “A thousand cranes YES (ring emoji) @mrcuu 12.31.18 11:59pm #747”
She then revealed that Miguel proposed to her in Niseko, Japan.
Miguel’s post on his Instagram is passionate.
He said he was just waiting for Yam to announce their engagement so he could celebrate it.
Miguel calls the actress his “better half.”
Wrote Miguel on his post, “Now that my better half @yamconcepcion has made the call, time for me to join in the long-delayed celebration.
“I’ll start with just how hard it was to keep this a secret for so long – I’ve wanted few things more than to be able to yell this as loud as I can using every means I have!”
Added her, “I asked her twice for good measure. You are my only wish, and if granted two wishes you are also my second.
“I’ve loved you more each daysince this magical one in Niseko, and I promise to give you my 100% for our forever to go.
“I thank the universe everyday you said yes, and will never know how I got so lucky.”
In an old interview Yam said they rarely met Miguel, who works at a bank in New York.
Yam said in her interview in March 2016, “Love at first sight kami noon, e, unang meeting namin.
“Nagkita na kami pero naudlot because he had to leave the Philippines to study, two years yun.
“Pero two years siya nandito, nag-work siya sa SM.
“Kasi siyempre, bago ka makapag-master’s, kailangan at least two years working experience.”
