Gwen Zamora and David Semerad are one of the celebrity couples who are now enjoying their new and simple life.
Gwen Zamora, popular on her role as Faye in Si Agimat at is Enteng Kabisote is happily married to a PBA basketball star David Semerad.
In 2019, Gwen gave birth to son Cooper. The two have been staying in what they have lovingly called the “Semerad Home” ever since Luzon was put under an enhanced community quarantine.
In an interview, the actress said that they are lucky to make it in Batangas before the Luzon lockdown started.
“We are super grateful we made it here on time for lockdown, we honestly feel safer, especially for Cooper whereas he gets to grow with nature and breathe fresh air.”
The humble home they were staying in the entire ECQ is inspired by a bahay kubo. David had invested in the property two years before the cabin itself was completed, according to Gwen.
The cabin was designed in 2019 and took 3 months to complete.
“Both being half Filipinos, we wanted something different from what we’ve grown up with. A true taste of the Philippines. A kubo was ideal for giving us that cabin feel and a true blend with the nature of our surroundings.”

“My favorite place would definitely be the outdoor kitchen, it’s simple, spacious with a lovely view of the tropics.”
Aside from this, the actress was so thankful to her husband because even before the lockdown, David already planted several vegetable plants.
“Even before we got here for lockdown, David already started planting or germinating some fruits or veggies. So far he was able to plant, papaya, chillis, eggplant, tomatoes, corn, pumpkin, watermelon, calamansi, sweet potatoes, mangoes, upos, beans, lemons, guyabanos, sunflowers, okras, beans, banana, cucumber, and mandarins. He truly has a green thumb,”
Truly, Gwen and David learned to embrace a simple life. Despite both of their industries taking a break due to the pandemic, Gwen and David are certainly not in a rush to leave their comfortable Batangas home for Manila.
